Background
Tolis Dimopoulos is the founder and managing attorney of Sophos Law. Tolis founded the firm in order to create a modern law firm that leverages technology and legal best practices to focus on the specific needs of startups and entrepreneurs. Tolis combines his engineering, product management, business, finance, and legal experience to serve as an outside general counsel and boardroom attorney to a variety of clients ranging from early stage startups to pre-IPO, venture-backed companies.
Tolis’s practice primarily focuses on new company formation and corporate governance, securities compliance and regulation, and IP licensing and protection. As part of his financing practice, Tolis has assisted his clients to structure and close financing deals with numerous notable investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, RRE Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Thrive, Red Swan, Fuel, Formation 8, and the Box Group.
