CEO of Sophos Law Firm Client SlimTrader Named 2011 TED Fellow

The founder and CEO of Sophos Law Firm client, SlimTrader, has been selected by TED, the nonprofit devoted to ideas worth spreading, as one of 20 members of its TEDGlobal 2011 Fellows class.  Akinde was named by TED based on his work developing a first of its kind, easy-to-use mobile commerce platform in Africa.  Akinde will be attending as a full member of 2011's annual TEDGlobal Conference in its new home in Edinburgh, Scotland in July.  > More

Sophos Law Firm clients LaserMotive and Hyper Local Media were selected as finalists in the recent Northwest Entrepreneur Network’s First Look Forum.  LaserMotive, an R&D company specializing in laser power beaming and winner of the 2009 NASA-sponsored Power Beaming Competition, placed second while Hyper Local Media, creators of The Community Magazine Network (a national network of independent community magazines), was among the top 12 finalists.  > More
